It’s 4 AM during a winter storm. You wake up to a power outage.  Even worse?  Your generator didn’t start. It turns out that the outage is really bad and you can’t get a hold of anybody and you need your generator running now to restore power.

This is where your Shordee Generator Service program pays off. Our service agreement customers are our first priority, and if you subscribe to monitoring, we know that your generator is out and are probably already on our way. 

We don’t just wait for your generator to fail though, our guaranteed maintenance contracts include Spring and Fall Service Appointments to help ensure failures don’t happen in the first place.

Fall is your major service to ensure your generator is ready for winter and that there is no water condensation or build-up (what happens to water when it freezes.  A technician will inspect your generator, including all belts, hoses, wires, and enclosure conditions and change the oil and filter.  The generator will be run up to operating temperature and a building transfer load test will be done to ensure proper generator functionality.

In Spring, we visually inspect everything to make sure there was no damage from winter, run your generator under a light load and verify that it is ready for the summer storm season.
